Junior Tattoo and Handpoke Artist and Co-owner
Initially Frank was the in-store vinyl DJ and sales assistant at The Yard, up until he immigrated to the UK in 2005.
In 2014 Frank returned to South Africa with the goal of opening a Skater owned Skate shop in Durban, whilst working towards his dream, Frank re-joined Step Up and introduced his passion for skateboarding as a subculture into our studio.
The skateboarding subculture within our studio thrived, and soon deserved a space of its own. Frank ventured on his own path and opened the only skater owned skate shop in Durban, eThekwini Skate co.
When Covid 19 and the uncertainty we all experienced became rife in SA, Frank decided to close the chapter of eThekwini Skate Co on a high and returned to Step Up tattoo studio as an apprentice. Since 2021 Frank has been dedicating his time to learning and mastering the art of tattooing.
Frank has introduced the art of hand poked tattoos into Step Up tattoo studio and has a passion for hand poked tattoos, old school and neo traditional artwork and tattoos.
He has currently advanced to Junior Tattoo artist and has been the co-owner of Step Up Tattoo studio since August 2023.
